MHC to host housing fairs in Jackson and Byram
The Mississippi Home Corporation (MHC) will partner with Senator David Blount to host two housing fairs in the Jackson area on Tuesday, November 12 and Thursday, November 14. The first fair will be held at the Metrocenter Mall in the Community Meeting Room from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The second housing fair will be held in Byram at the Trinity Wesleyan Church, 6950 Siwell Road, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Mississippi Home Corporation awards $8.7 million in Housing Tax Credits
The Mississippi Home Corporation (MHC) awarded approximately $8.7 million of Housing Tax Credits to developments across the State. Financing provided by the sale of the tax credits to investors will help developers build or rehabilitate 959 units in 11 different Mississippi counties. A total of 20 developments statewide are expected to create almost 50 construction jobs and generate $17.9 million in construction wages. A full list of the 2013 awards is available at MHC’s website
