In McComb, the Pike County Affordable Housing Expo will be held at the McComb High School cafeteria, located at 310 7th Street, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Both the seminar and the Expo will include presentations from MHC, lenders, REALTORs and other professionals involved in the process of purchasing a home.
According to Dr. Ben Mokry, Executive Vice President of MHC, “For most families, the purchase of a home represents their largest investment. We have designed these events with the help of our community partners in order to demystify the process of purchasing a home and help families make responsible, informed decisions.”
“The Housing Expo is the perfect opportunity for us to promote single-family home ownership,” explained Dave Kelleher of Hey, Neighbor Initiatives. “By serving as the community clearinghouse for affordable housing resources, we are able to bring together those providing and those needing these important programs and services. As we emerge from the recent housing crisis, it is crucial to remember that homeownership is still a vital part of the American dream,” he added.
