Real Estate Developer Sentenced to Jail for Filling Protected Mississippi Wetlands

William R. “Rusty” Miller, a real estate developer from Fairhope, Ala., was sentenced today in federal district court in Gulfport, Miss., for the unpermitted filling of wetlands near Bay St. Louis, Miss., in violation of the Clean Water Act, announced Acting Assistant Attorney General Robert G. MHC to host housing fairs in Jackson and Byram

The Mississippi Home Corporation (MHC) will partner with Senator David Blount to host two housing fairs in the Jackson area on Tuesday, November 12 and Thursday, November 14. Mississippi Home Corporation awards $8.7 million in Housing Tax Credits

The Mississippi Home Corporation (MHC) awarded approximately $8.7 million of Housing Tax Credits to developments across the State. Financing provided by the sale of the tax credits to investors will help developers build or rehabilitate 959 units in 11 different Mississippi counties. A total of 20 developments statewide are expected to create almost 50 construction jobs and generate $17.9 million in construction wages. A full list of the 2013 awards is available at MHC’s website
