Housing fairs provide an opportunity to promote homeownership and inform the public about the process and the tools available to help them become homeowners. “Homeownership is an important part of strong neighborhoods,” said Senator Blount. “I’m excited that this event and our partnership with the Mississippi Home Corporation will help families in South Jackson and Byram,” he added.

The housing fairs will feature professionals to help answer questions about down payment assistance, credit scores, and the home buying process in general. “Purchasing a home is the single largest investment most families make, so it’s important to understand the entire process and know what you’re getting into on the front end,” said Dianne Bolen, Executive Director of MHC.
